Sophomore Emerges For Palisades Girls:

Sophomore center Donae Moguel is emerging as a star player on the Palisades High girls basketball team.

Moguel scored 30 points and had 12 rebounds in a 64-37 victory over University.

The Palisades girls are doing far better than the Venice girls, who are 1-8 in Western League games. Palisades defeated Venice, 67-17 but Venice defeated University, 69-36.

In Western League boys games, Palisades defeated Hamilton, 76-68 and University, 90-76.

Venice, which hasn’t had a home game due to remodeling of its gym. has an 0-9 record. It came close to breaking through in a 65-63 loss to University.
