Unidentified Felony Hit and Run: Victim Seriously Injuried, Police Looking for Vehicle and Driver

The Santa Monica Police Department needs assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a felony Hit and Run traffic Collision

On March 30, at 4:15pm, a 53-year-old pedestrian was crossing Pico Boulevard in the 3200 block when she was struck by a vehicle. The victim sustained “serious body injuries” which were luckily “non-life threatening” and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver fled the scene in the vehicle, leaving the victim lying in the roadway. According to witnesses he was last seen driving erratically and at high speed near the intersection of Cloverfield Boulevard and Pico Boulevard.

The initial investigation revealed that the vehicle is described as a late model Mitsubishi Eclipse, two door, and black in color. The driver was described as a male, Hispanic or Asian.

Witnesses can identify the driver by sight.
