Area Players Named to All-CIF Teams:

Several local athletes were named to the All-CIF teams for baseball and softball.

In softball Samohi pitcher Celisha Walker was named player of the year in Division 4, and her teammates Kaile Nakao and Holly Elander were named to first and second team, respectively.

Coach Debbie Skaggs was named coach of the year for D4.

Shannon McQueen of Crossroads and Danielle Cullen of St. Monica were named to the second team for D6.

In Baseball, Josh Flyer of Crossroads was named to the Division 6 first team, while teammates Jake Berg-Rosenblatt and Andres Leyva were named to the second team.
