The Santa Monica Pony League 13 and 14-year-old baseball team emerged as champions from the All Star Extravaganza, held on June 26 and 27, at Big League Dreams Sports Parks in Riverside and Chino Hills.
The team, comprised of seventh, eigth and ninth graders from Samohi, John Adams Middle School and Lincoln Middle School, went 4-1 in the tournament on their way to the title, defeating Diamond Bar, La Canada, High Desert, and Cheviot Hills.
The team will next step up to the plate at the Allstar District Tourney, July 10 in Norwalk.
