The Lady Roadrunners defeated Milken 3-1 behind the strong play of their senior core: Arden Shore, Kylie Deutschman, Sara Glusker, and Shadi Smith.
Crossroads (1-1) took the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-15, then dropped the third, 20-25. The Roadrunners rebounded with a strong 25-16 finish. Shore, a senior outside hitter, had 13 kills to complement senior middle blocker Glusker’s 11. Deutschman had 26 digs and senior setter Smith had eight.
The Lady Roadrunners take on Vistamar on the road Tuesday and New Roads at home on Friday before participating in the Whittier Tournament over the weekend.
