Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier will host the 7th Annual PALpalooza tonight from 5-11 p.m.
The Santa Monica Police Activities League (PAL) and more than 100 California Police Activities League (CAL-PAL) chapters will receive a free, fun-filled back-to-school treat.
More than 300 children will enjoy Pacific Park’s 12 exciting rides, 18 midways games and a variety of food selections from the oceanfront food court including hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries and soft drinks and juice. The kids will also delight in a variety of desserts including cotton candy, popcorn and ice cream.
The Santa Monica PAL is Pacific Park’s primary charitable organization on the Westside. The two-acre amusement park will donate all food, games and rides for PALpalooza.
“We feel fortunate to have struck such a successful long term relationship with Santa Monica PAL on behalf of all the kids in the city,” says Jeff Klocke, director of marketing and sales at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier.
“PALpalooza keeps getting better each year, which now includes the statewide chapters. The excitement and joy the kids bring to the Park is matched only by the enthusiasm and smiles of our employees as they celebrate the day together.”
The Santa Monica PAL provides a safe and nurturing environment that offers kids the opportunity to grow under the sustained guidance of dedicated adults.
PAL supports and encourages youth to reach their fullest potential and pursue a better future.
The Santa Monica PAL provides free programs to more that 1,600 kids in the area each year.
“Pacific Park is a champion of all things PAL and we are very grateful for their commitment and hospitality,” says Eula Fritz, director of the Santa Monica Police Activities League.
“PALpalooza is a terrific event that brings the Santa Monica kids together with their counterparts throughout the state. The opportunity gives them a chance to have one last summer hurrah before the school year begins.”
The Santa Monica PAL Youth Center is located at 1401 Olympic Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90404. For additional information, please call (310) 458-8988.
