A 50-year-old man was found dead in the surf off Venice Beach at about 1:20 a.m. this morning, but authorities have not released his name.
Authorities responded to the 5000 block of Ocean Front Walk after there were reports of a body in the water.
The Los Angeles Times reports that paramedics had taken the man from the beach earlier that night to a hospital for seizures.
It was unclear how he left the hospital and wound up again at the beach, The Times reported.
