The New West Symphony will today present “Fire and Water,” a program that includes the West Coast Premiere of the Hindson Violin Concerto called “Australian Postcards,” as well as Claude Debussy’s “La Mer” and Igor Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite.” Sarah Ioannides will guest conduct the orchestra – the first time a woman has led the orchestra in its 16-year history.
