Santa Monica Firefighters Knock Down Apartment Fire At Seventh And Montana:

Santa Monica firefighters responded to a fire in an apartment building earlier this evening.

The call came in at 7:19 p.m. and fire and police crews responded to 823 Seventh Street, at the corner of Montana. The fire was inside a unit at the rear of the apartment complex.

SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said the fire was quickly knocked down, but it was a densely packed apartment.

“Investigators are going through to confirm there are no injuries, but they don’t think there is,” Lewis said.
