On Sunday, Nov. 6, at 10:05 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the 2000 block of Ocean front walk in response to a report of two individuals who were “throwing traffic cones.”
When the officers arrived they detained two people, a man and a woman, who they suspected were the traffic cone throwers. These two people were arguing with each other when the officers arrived. The officers recognized this couple as being the same duo that had recently been arrested for acts of domestic violence against each other (was there a pattern developing in their relationship?).
The officers checked their records and discovered that each of these individuals had a court order that prohibited them from being with each other. The officers arrested this 21-year-old man, a resident of Los Angeles, and his adversary, a 24-year-old woman who did not have any kind of residence, and they were both charged with violation of their court orders.
