This Friday, Feb. 10, from 6-10 p.m. will be the Pico Youth and Family Center’s 3rd annual fundraising effort, Art for hearts, to help meet the costs associated with serving at-risk youth.
Since 2002, the Santa Monica non-profit organization has served hundreds of at-risk youth on the Westside by providing much needed case management, counseling, tutoring, computer training, job readiness preparation, and music production training.
PYFC targets youth ages 16-24 that are most at risk – including those who are failing academically, not in school, or on probation.
Faced with a tough economic funding climate, PYFC is counting on the success of its 3rd annual fundraising effort.
The event will include a silent auction of uniquely-crafted hearts and other art by youth and established artists.
The evening will also include music by the Santa Monica High School jazz band, delicious food, wine, and guest appearances. Tickets are $35 per person / $50 per couple.
It will be held at the Annenberg Community Beach House, 415 Pacific Coast Highway.
