Larry Twomey, a principal with Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura, Inc., transacted a 7,000-square-foot office building lease for the West Coast expansion of Weitbrecht Communications, Inc. (WCI) a solutions provider for the hearing impaired.
The five-year lease at 1500 Olympic Blvd. in Santa Monica, CA is valued at $1,141,294.
Wisconsin-based WCI, which distributes more than 50 products including CapTel telephones that display written captions of the conversation of the party called, along with a variety of text telephones, personal amplifiers and other products to assist those with hearing and speech impairments, will be relocating from a 3,100-square-foot building in Santa Monica.
“WCI has experienced tremendous growth and needed a building that would accommodate its space needs and give it a presence commensurate with its emerging position in its industry,” said Twomey. “This free standing office building meets all its criteria and allows the company to remain in the Santa Monica market.”
Twomey is marketing WCI’s former space for sublease effective Feb. 1. The 3,100-square-foot building near Colorado and Lincoln boulevards is fully furnished offering a tenant a turnkey, short-term solution at a very flexible lease rate, which is difficult to find in the Santa Monica market, Twomey said.
Joseph Gabbian, a broker with Grubb & Ellis, represented the building ownership, Gary and Cydney Mandel Revocable Trust.
