Ex-Girlfriend Violates Restraining Order: She Wouldn’t Let Go

On Saturday, April 7, at 12:57 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the 1600 block of 11th Street in response to a violation of a restraining order that had just happened. When they arrived, the officers spoke with the man whose order had been violated.

He told the officers that he had been granted a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend with whom he had been in a dating relationship for several months in 2011, but he had ended the relationship when the ex-girlfriend had become violent. He also told the officers that this woman had violated the order many times by showing up at his workplace, calling him, and sending him text messages.

The woman had made a number of threats against him using various email addresses and phone numbers. On the above date the woman contacted the victim and asked him to meet her.

The officers decided to set up a sting operation and so the victim arranged to meet the ex-girlfriend at Norm’s Restaurant located at 1601 Lincoln Boulevard. They went there and arrested this 40-year-old woman, and she was taken off to jail.

This ex-girlfriend restraining order violator, of Los Angeles, was charged with criminal threats and violating the order.

Her bail was set at $50,000.
