Church in Ocean Park Tutoring Project. The Tutoring Project is a program of Westside Churches Working Together (WCWT) that seeks to help high school students find healing and hope by offering a safe space for them to learn and build confidence. The ‘24 Hour Sleep Out’ will be held this Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday Aug. 26 for the 2nd Annual ‘24 Hour Sleep Out’ in solidarity with the unhoused/homeless at Beyond Baroque, 681 Venice Blvd. The event will feature speakers, music, an art auction, comedy, and spoken word by the unhoused/homeless & area advocates. A screening of the film ‘Rubber Tramps’ will be held at 9 p.m. The event is free (but donations will be accepted to offset expenses) and begins around 5pm on Saturday.
