The annual MixMatch Dance Festival is geared towards promoting accessible, professional dance to the Los Angeles community and it returns today through Sunday, Aug. 24-26.
Originating at The Electric Lodge in Venice in 2006, MixMatch quickly became an area favorite and is now entering its 6th year with their second run at The Miles Memorial Playhouse in Santa Monica.
The dance festival presents more than 50 choreographers and companies from across the country and supporting an astonishing display of SoCal artists in six completely different shows presenting more than 65 dances such as tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop to name a few. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Miles Memorial Playhouse, 1130 Lincoln Blvd. in Santa Monica. Tickets are $14.
The festival continues Aug. 31 through Sept. 2.
