Nautica Malibu Triathlon To Start At 7:15 a.m. Sunday:

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon will be held Sunday, Sept. 16 at 7:15 am and consist of a Classic distance race that is made up of a half mile ocean swim, 18 mile bike ride, and a four mile run through Malibu.

It will be held at Zuma Beach. Parking is located on Pacific Coast Highway between Busch Dr. and Morning View Drive.

Those scheduled to attend include James Marsden, Jon Cryer, Rainn Wilson, Alison Sweeney, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Jillian Michaels, Josh Hopkins, Ellie Kemper, Paul Lieberstein, Oscar Nunez, Cristian de la Fuente, Geoff Stults, David Cook, Ali Landry, Chris Schauble, Ted Stryker, Zach McGowan, Parker Young, Josie Loren, Greg Ellis, Matt Corboy, Claire Holt, Kevin McNally, Megyn Price, Jeremy Sisto, Nicole Sullivan, Alan Tudyk, Kevin Rahm, Mark Valley, Dania Ramirez, James Scott, Chrissie Wellington, and Sheriff Lee Baca among others.

Fundraising proceeds from the Nautica Malibu Triathlon benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ Pediatric Cancer Research Program

Registration opens at 5:15 am Participants are urged to arrive before 7 am to avoid road closures. Spectators are welcome.

Here is the schedule for the day:

4:30 am – Parking Opens at Zuma Beach.

5:15 am – Packet Pickup, Body Marking, Transition Area Opens

6:55am – Packet Pickup and Transition Area Closes

7:00 am – Pre-race Meeting at Stage

7:15 am – Classic Distance Race Start

8:00 am – Fun Zone Opens, Nautica Kids Run and Tot Trot signups

9:45 am – Nautica Kids Run and Tot Trot start

10:00 am – Celebrity Division Awards Ceremony

10:00 am – Transition Area Re-opens

10:30 am – Competitor Awards Ceremony
