The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica presented its 37th Annual Auction & Dinner at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica earlier this month on Nov. 2, which brought in more than $370,000 for expanding and enhancing its programs and services.
The event honored Monsignor Lloyd Torgerson and the St. Monica Catholic Community for their generous support of the club and community over the years.
This event gathered civic and business leaders and hundreds of community members for an evening of silent and live auctions and a chance to mix and mingle with club supporters and friends over delectable hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a delicious dinner in the hotel’s Starlight Ballroom.
This event is the club’s largest source of unrestricted funding, which helps to ensure that it can continue to improve and sustain the programs it offers to the youth in the community.
The event’s success depends upon the support of our community, and this year we truly made a meaningful impact due to the immense generosity of our supporters.
“We were very honored to have so many supporters come together at this event,” said Aaron Young, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica. “We appreciate the unwavering support of our community and we look forward to continuing the strong relationship we have with the St. Monica Catholic Community. We wish the very best to Monsignor Torgerson and the St. Monica Catholic Community in all of their future endeavors.”
