Santa Monica physician Anton J. Bilchik, MD, PhD, FACS, will receive the Humanitarian Award at the Anti-Defamation League’s 2012 Annual Dinner Celebration on Tuesday, December 11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

This year’s dinner will serve as the kick-off to ADL’s 2013 Centennial year of celebration in Los Angeles and proceeds support ADL efforts to combat anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds.

He serves on the editorial boards of many peer review journals and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. Bilchik has helped establish community outreach programs for underserved communities, teaching about cancer prevention and treatment, for which he has received commendations from the cities of Inglewood and Carson.

Also being honored at the dinner with the Jurisprudence Award is Harriet S. Posner, a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Nadia Bilchik, an internationally-renowned television news anchor, media and presentation skills expert, author and keynote speaker. She currently hosts CNN’s “Weekend Morning Passport.”
