A Santa Monica man aged in his mid-40s is dead in what authorities suspect is an apparent suicide after he went missing Thursday, according to the Palisades Post.
The Post said the man was reported missing Thursday afternoon at about 5:30 p.m. after going for a hike in Pacific Palisades, but was found dead with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday night near Mandeville Canyon.
The man’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin are notified.
