41 Ocean Club, a members-only social club, launched a “Summer Series” of events on Friday, developed by 41 Ocean Club co-founder Max Russo and Michael Sutton, a founding member and the impresario behind Guys & Dolls, Goa and Xenii.
Open to non-members by reservation only, the “Summer Series” will feature nightly entertainment, from an “I Love 80s” music theme to Cabaret shows to special guest DJs.
Chef Jimmy Martinez’s dinner menu will be available for those who reserve tables in advance.
The club is tucked inside a courtyard behind the storefronts of bustling Ocean Avenue near Colorado Avenue.
“This summer, we wanted to open 41 Ocean’s doors to prospective new members to celebrate our picturesque spot in Santa Monica,” said co-founder Max Russo. “While our members will remain our top priority, we want to help solidify Santa Monica as an evening destination that is on par with night life on the East Side. With our entertainment lineup, and a great member base, we are in an excellent position to make that a reality.”
Sutton said he looked forward to introducing 41 Ocean to a broader audience.
“It’s a hidden courtyard gem right on Ocean Avenue across from the pier – the perfect summer venue,” Sutton said. “With its amazing ambiance and beautiful people, 41 Ocean will become the destination by the shore.”
The “Summer Series” hours will be from 5:30 pm to 2 am, Monday to Saturday, through Labor Day.
