Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a motorist involved in a hit-and-run Saturday night at about 8:30 pm near the Malibu RV Park.
Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Lieutenant Robert Wiard said a silver Sport Uitlity Vehicle struck an adult and child who were attempting to cross the road in the 25800 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
“Both victims were transported via Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter to a local hospital for treatment,” Wiard said. “An adult victim sustained a broken arm and a three-year-old child sustained a fractured hip and numerous facial abrasions. Both were subsequently admitted to the hospital.”
Wiard said the Pacific Coast Highway was closed between Corral Canyon Road and Puerco Canyon Road while Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies conducted their investigation.
“Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver of a silver-colored sport utility vehicle who left the scene after the accident,” Wiard said.
