Grammy Children’s Family Concert Set For
Saturday In Santa Monica:

The Children’s Recording Arts Alliance will host the fifth annual family concert featuring all five of this year’s children’s album Grammy Award nominees (Beth Nielsen Chapman, Jennifer Gasoi, Elizabeth Mitchell, Alastair Moock and Justin Roberts), this Saturday, Jan. 25 at 10:30 am.

Grammy Award winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer will emcee the concert, at the Moss Theater at New Roads School, 3131 Olympic Boulevard, in Santa Monica.

All net proceeds from the concert will go to support Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation (mhopus.org), which keeps music alive in schools by donating instruments to under-funded music programs.

The 2011 and 2013 children’s GRAMMY nominee concerts each netted $2,000 for the organization.

The presenting sponsor of the concert is L.A. Parent magazine with the National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA). A children’s recording arts industry mixer will follow the concert, at the Moss Theater.

DJs Absolutely Mindy and Kenny Curtis from SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s “Kids Place Live” will broadcast a live remote of the concert, with artist interviews.

Tickets to the one-hour, all-ages concert ($12 in advance, $15 day of show) are available now via grammychildrensconcert.bpt.me.
