Jubilee Begins New Chapter After 33-Year Long History:

The longest-running burlesque show on the Las Vegas Strip – Jubilee! – reopened late March after a six-week hiatus after undergoing a major transformation.

Located inside Bally’s Las Vegas, the show brings a bold, fresh new twist to the production while staying true to the spirit of the original show.

Jubilee first opened on July 30, 1981. To this day the show remains to be the last of its kind, featuring the Strip’s only remaining authentic showgirls.

While the best of the show’s main elements are preserved as a nod to the original production, the choreography, staging, and music are all refreshed.

Leading the charge in ushering the show into the contemporary age was Frank Gatson Jr., Beyonce’s longtime creative director.

“I have been a fan of Jubilee! for many years, so the fact that I can now be a part of the history of this iconic show is beyond my wildest dreams,” Gatson said. “It is my goal to keep the original spirit of the show’s creator, Donn Arden, alive while putting a modern spin on it. What made Donn’s shows so spectacular and successful in their day was that they were fresh for the time. They were dynamic and innovative, embracing spectacle and joy. I am certain that if we re-infuse the show with a modern take, Jubilee! will be amazingly re-invigorated and ready for a new era.”

As you’d expect, there are plenty of over-the-top costumes.

Now, more than ever before, audiences are surrounded by beautiful, long-legged showgirls that descend from the ceiling, shimmy through the aisles, and dance around on the theater’s balconies.

With a stage that is 15 stories high and half the size of a football field wide, the show is home to one of the most advanced and technically complex theaters in America.

While still utilizing fly lines, elevators, visual effects, water features, and pyrotechnics that have been in place throughout the show’s 33-year history, state-of-the-art lighting fixtures, projectors and a surround sound system have been installed to complete the grand spectacle and keep audiences stimulated.

Crystals on the iconic showgirl costumes shine brighter with 30 new high-end SolaSpot Pro LED moving light fixtures and forefront Barco projectors. Additionally, Optiblack video screens have been added to cast stunning 3D motion graphics.

Jubilee! performs at Bally’s Las Vegas with shows Sunday through Wednesday at 7 pm and 10 pm, Thursday at 7 pm, and Saturday at 10 pm.

Tickets range in price from $65 to $122.50 and can be purchased at any Las Vegas Caesars Entertainment Box Office, by calling 702.777.2782 or 855.234.7469, or visiting www.ballyslasvegas.com/shows/jubilee.html.

Rao’s Caesars Palace Delivers Fresh Italian Cuisine

Looking for the perfect pre-show Las Vegas dinner that has a little bit of glitz and glam?

At Rao’s Caesars Palace, Executive Chef Fatimah Madyun prepares the same food as in New York that’s simple, honest Italian.

The kitchen uses fresh, high-quality ingredients, such as homemade roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil, and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes from Italy.

With these and other ingredients, the home-cooked Italian meals at Rao’s are sublime culinary experiences.

The time-honored dishes include perfectly cooked pastas and risottos. Signature dishes include the incomparable Rao’s Lemon Chicken, broiled to perfection and sauced with Uncle Vincent’s Famous Lemon Sauce that includes lemon juice, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and spices.

The classic veal chop is pan seared and topped off with a medley of cherry peppers both hot and sweet; and the meatballs, either alone or accompanied by one of the many pasta dishes, are a must for first time visitors to the restaurant.

Desserts include a variety of ice creams and Rao’s famous New York-style Cheesecake.

The restaurant is open for dinner daily from 5 pm to 10:30 pm.
