A 64-year-old man was arrested and charged with public intoxication on Wednesday, June 25 after attracting attention to himself on Main Street.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Main Street at 6 pm on this day in order to investigate reports of a suspicious shirtless man.
Upon arrival the officers spotted a man who fit the description (he was shirtless) and noticed that he was staggering around in traffic.
The officers escorted the man safely to the sidewalk whereupon they smelled the telltale odor of alcohol.
The officers asked the man for some identification and the man responded by repeatedly yelling, “it’s a conspiracy!”
The officers arrested this man and he was charged with public intoxication. Bail was set at $250.
