Effective today, Aug. 24, Big Blue Bus Route 3 becomes two new routes, according to the Santa Monica transit authority.
The new Route 3 will serve existing stops between the Green Line Aviation Station and 4th Street in downtown Santa Monica.
Route 3M (“M” signifies Montana Ave.) will be the new name for the existing Route 3 service between Downtown Santa Monica and UCLA via Montana Ave.
BBB says anyone who currently pays cash fares will have to pay a second fare.
Anyone who rides Big Blue Bus regularly, monthly passes are available at the Transit Store that could save riders money.
