LAX Employee Crashes Car On Taxiway Causing Runway To Briefly Close:

A Los Angeles World Airports employee’s car crashed today on a taxiway at Los Angeles International Airport, resulting in an injury, authorities said.

The accident occurred shortly after 6 am near Runway 25-Right, according to Los Angeles airport police.

The runway had been closed briefly in the area because of an unrelated issue involving the cleanup of some debris, airport police said.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
