Santa Monica College Community Education is offering a 10 percent discount on all health, fitness and enrichment classes being offered in the Winter Session through Dec. 15 – as well as a 15 percent discount on the new Headshots Workshop.
With one of its largest offerings ever of 86 classes – over one-third more than winter a year ago – SMC Community Ed is poised to satisfy a variety of educational needs and desires with a crop of unique courses, workshops and tours.
Online registration is now open and classes begin Jan. 5.
“We’re proud of the interesting and creative array of courses we are making available to our community this winter,” said Alice Meyering, Program Coordinator of Community & Contract Education.
“We are particularly emphasizing health and fitness because we know those are in high demand after the holiday season,” she added. “But there are dozens of other courses designed to enrich your life and advance your career.”
Among the new courses being offered are:
• Work at Home as a Medical Transcriptionist
• Sumi-e Painting (the ancient art of Sumi-e, “ink picture”)
• Kaffeeklatsch ohne Kaffee (a German conversation class)
• Dealing with Difficult and Demanding People
• Bartending the Easy Way Online
“We also want everyone to know that we are offering our popular L.A. Underground Art Museum excursion in winter,” Meyering noted.
