At least one motorist was hospitalized with serious injuries today following a collision involving several cars at a Playa Vista intersection, authorities said today.
The crash occurred at Lincoln and Jefferson boulevards around 8:40 p.m. Sunday, said Officer Miguel Ramirez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division.
“There was no DUI and we’re not sure if speed was a factor,” Ramirez said.
The accident involved three or four cars, and at least one driver was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, he said.
The intersection was shut down about two hours for the investigation, Ramirez said. The intersection later reopened, but the investigation continued.
