Red Cross Kicks Off Holiday Mail For Heroes Card Signing In Santa Monica On Sunday:

The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region invites residents to take a break from shopping, from errands or just from their everyday weekend routine to stop by and sign a holiday card to show their support to the military, veterans, and their families.

The event will take place Sunday, Nov. 9 from 11 am to 5 pm on the Third Street Promenade (at Santa Monica Blvd.) in Santa Monica.

Cards and pens will be provided for the adults and crafts supplies for children.

Once signed, the Red Cross will deliver the cards to the West L.A. VA Center and the Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital for distribution.

Castle Press has donated 8,000 cards being used at this and a Nov. 23 event.
