Other music winners included Maroon 5 (favorite group); Carrie Underwood (favorite female country artist); Hunter Hayes (favorite male country artist); Lady Antebellum (favorite country group); Iggy Azalea (favorite hip- hop artist); and Pharrell Williams (favorite rhythm and blues artist).
ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” won four awards — favorite network television drama, favorite dramatic television actor (Patrick Dempsey), favorite dramatic television actress (Ellen Pompeo) and favorite television character we miss most (Dr. Cristina Yang, portrayed by Sandra Oh).
ABC’s “Castle” won for favorite television crime drama, favorite television crime drama actor (Nathan Fillion) and favorite crime drama television actress (Stana Katic).
CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” Taylor Swift won for favorite television show and favorite network TV comedy and star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting as favorite comedic television actress.
The CW won for both favorite new television comedy “Jane the Virgin” and favorite new television drama “The Flash.”
ABC Family series won for both favorite cable television comedy (“Melissa & Joey”) and favorite cable television drama (“Pretty Little Liars”).
Other television winners included NBC’s “The Voice” (favorite competition television show); Jimmy Fallon (favorite late night talk show host); Ellen DeGeneres (favorite daytime television host); and “Glee’s” Chris Colfer (favorite comedic television actor).
Robert Downey Jr. won for favorite movie actor and favorite dramatic movie actor; Jennifer Lawrence for favorite movie actress and favorite action movie actress; Chloe Grace Moretz for favorite dramatic movie actress; Adam Sandler as favorite comedic movie actor; and Melissa McCarthy as favorite comedic movie actress.
“Maleficent” won for favorite movie and favorite family movie; “Divergent” for favorite action movie;”22 Jump Street” as favorite comedic movie; and “Gone Girl” as favorite thriller movie.
Anna Faris and Allison Janney, co-stars on the CBS comedy “Mom,” hosted the ceremony at the Nokia Theatre.
Oscar winner Ben Affleck received the third annual People’s Choice Award for favorite humanitarian for his work with the Eastern Congo Initiative.
