Historic San Vicente District Coalition To Host Make Music Day June 21:

The Historic San Vicente District Coalition is a grassroots effort by Santa Monica residents to preserve the courtyard housing between Ocean Avenue and 7th by creating a historic district

Historic San Vicente Coalition, a grassroots organization dedicated to preservation the iconic courtyard housing on San Vicente Boulevard by having it designated as a historic district, will host a free, four-hour concert of performers on Sunday, June 21.

It will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm at Inspiration Point in Palisades Park (Ocean Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard).

The concert is part of Make Music Los Angeles, rolex replica watches a Los Angeles county-wide, free annual celebration celebrating the power of music and art through musical performances by amateurs, students, and professionals. Some of the bands scheduled to play at the Coalition’s event include Nick Kandler, Band Meets World, TEE-M, and Jazz Neighbors.

“Make Music Los Angeles is based on a French national musical holiday which was inaugurated in 1982,” notes local MMLA Coordinator Phil Brock, a resident on San Vicente Boulevard and one of the co-chairs of the Historic San Vicente District Coalition. “The event has gone international and is now celebrated on the same day in more than 800 cities in 100 countries.”

Free parking is available on side streets and at metered spaces on Ocean Avenue. The park is also accessible by walking, by the Big Blue Bus and by bicycle. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, cushions or foldable chairs.
