Showers are expected amid relatively high heat Tuesday, and thunderstorms are possible, National Weather Service forecasters said.
A low-pressure system that has been developing over the eastern Pacific will approach the region Tuesday, drawing moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Blanca.
“As moisture from Tropical Storm Blanca streams into the area, the threat of showers will increase across the area during the day on Tuesday, with the shower threat peaking in the afternoon,” an NWS statement said.
“In addition, there is the possibility of thunderstorms as atmospheric instability increases.”
The threat of precipitation will end rolex replica watches Tuesday night, it said.
Most areas are expected to receive between a tenth and a half-inch of rain though higher volumes will accompany any thunderstorm. No snowfall is expected.
The NWS forecast highs today of 73 at LAX; 74 in San Clemente; 75 in Avalon; 77 in Newport Beach; 79 in Laguna Beach; 84 in downtown L.A.; 86 in Long Beach; 87 in Irvine; 88 on Mount Wilson and in Anaheim and Mission Viejo; 90 in Fullerton and San Gabriel; 92 in Yorba Linda and Burbank; 93 in Pasadena; 98 in Saugus, Palmdale and Lancaster; and 101 in Woodland Hills.
Tuesday’s weather will feel very tropical. Highs will be around the same as today’s in several communities but several degrees lower where today’s highest temperatures are expected.
