The Santa Monica College Theatre Arts Department will present “The Great God Pan” Oct. 16-25 at the Theatre Arts Main Stage on the SMC main campus, 1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.

In “The Great God Pan” – a haunting play by Amy Herzog – up-and-coming journalist Jaime’s life is going great, but when a possible childhood trauma comes to light, lives are thrown into a tailspin.

This unsettling, deeply compassionate, and intimate performance tells the tale of what is lost and won when a hidden truth is suddenly revealed. The SMC production is directed by Dr. Adrianne Harrop.

Please note: This theatrical performance contains adult subject matter, and may not be suitable for younger audiences.

Show times are 8 pm on Friday, Oct. 16 and 23, and on Saturday, Oct. 17 and 24. Matinees are at 2 pm on Sunday, Oct. 18, and on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24 and 25. A preview is scheduled at 8 pm on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Tickets are $3 higher at the door. Parking is free on Friday evenings and weekends.

Advance tickets range from $12 to $15 ($8 for preview), plus a service charge, and can be purchased by going to www.smc.edu/eventsinfo or by calling 310.434.4319 or 310.434.3005 Monday through Friday.
