Santa Monica Travel & Tourism’s (SMTT) newly re-launched website, SantaMonica.com, was the recent winner of the Web Marketing Association’s 2015 Web Award for Outstanding Website and the 2015 Silver Davey Award for best website in the Tourism category.
The Web Awards is the longest running annual website award competition. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries, and the best are recognized for excellence in Internet marketing and website development.
The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of creatives who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets. The awards are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
The website, which launched in May 2015 as part of the SMTT brand refresh campaign, has an adaptive design optimized for mobile devices and multiple browsers. It features an integrated hotel booking platform directly from SantaMonica.com to hotels’ websites. Another exciting new feature is a partner portal that gives tourism-serving businesses with a Santa Monica city business license a free dedicated business page with the ability to review, update and maintain the information displayed.
This added-value tool places businesses in control of their pages and creates rich content for the SMTT website; a win-win for all.
