In conjunction with the pop-up gallery, Sun Sand Sea, a collection of vintage photographs of Santa Monica and Venice circa 1920 to 1950, Santa Monica Place presents Sun Sand Sea Events – Art Talk and Kids Art.
In addition to the events, one-of-a-kind 4×8 vintage photos embellished by contemporary artist, Hueman will be available for purchase.
The proceeds will benefit local non-profit organization P.S. ARTS, whose mission is to improve the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities.
Artist Talk – free: An in-depth talk with world-renowned urban contemporary artist, Hueman. She will discuss her inspiration, creative process and body of work. Hosted by Branded Arts. Complimentary light refreshments will be served. All guests will receive a special gift bag.
Sun Sand Sea Kids: Children of all ages are invited to a special art activity with world renowned contemporary artist, Hueman. This event provides kids the opportunity to put their own creative designs on reproductions of the Sun Sand Sea murals designed by Hueman. Participants will enjoy special giveaways and light refreshments.
The Sun Sand Sea pop-up gallery features more than 40 vintage photographs that explore the relationship between the sea, the sand and the people who have a specific connection with Santa Monica and Venice.
Sales from the exhibit benefit P.S. ARTS, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities.
