Join the Allied Artists of the Santa Monica Mountains and Seashore as they host their 7th Annual Will Rogers Historic State Park Art Exhibit and Sale onSunday October 8, 2017 from 10AM to 5 PM. The event is being held at the beautiful and historic Will Rogers State Park located at 1501 Will Rogers State Park Rd, Pacific Palisades CA 90272.
A portion of sales help support local conservation groups and parks. This majestic location provides the ideal backdrop to view and enjoy the paintings of over a dozen local artists whose representational work depicts the singular beauty of the local mountains and coastal scenery. This year’s event is being held in conjunction with the 50th Annual Will Rogers Polo Club Tournament sponsored by the Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce. Allied Artists provides information, art, and an appreciation of the local mountains and seashore as a public service – donating a portion of art sales from its exhibitions to conserve and maintain the environment of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and local parks. The group provides free monthly paint-outs on the second Saturday of the month from 9AM to 1PM. The free paint outs provide a unique opportunity for any painter to enjoy a sense of camaraderie with like-minded people and are a great way to see the beauty of the natural environment. A painting demonstration and friendly critique is usually held at the paint-outs.
