UCLA Health – Santa Monica Medical Center
Santa Monica Medical Center was founded in 1926. It is a member of UCLA Health and was awarded the 2020 Guardian of Excellence Award by Press Ganey for its Neonatal Unit. The larger UCLA Health hospital portfolio is one of the most globally recognized and comprehensive health care systems; the Adult ICU, Adult Surgical Unit, and the Labor Delivery are highly recognized in the surrounding community.
The Nethercutt Emergency Center is a 16,000 square foot facility that features an on-site CT scanner for neurological emergencies such as stroke. The hospital is also one of the few facilities that offer the UCLA Rape Treatment Center that physically and mentally treats victims of sexual assault, including children.
