Authorities Respond to Shots Fired, Investigation Underway
On Thursday morning at 10:25 a.m. Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to a call reporting shots fired in the 2600 block of 29th Street, as reported by SMPD social media channels. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered one victim who has since been rushed to a local hospital.
The suspects responsible for the incident are currently at large, and detectives have initiated an on-site investigation to gather more information. The authorities are actively working to piece together the details surrounding the incident and identify those involved.
Social media updates from SMPD later revealed that the unidentified victim had succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. The investigation into this matter is ongoing, with law enforcement officials working to understand the circumstances leading to the tragic outcome.
A witness, Kyle Kolhoff, told KTLA.com, “The two people got into a scuffle in a singular car.. One took a shot at the other and possibly injured themselves.
