SMPD Make Six Arrests Over Drug Offenses

The Department Conducted an Operation Focused on Narcotics-Related Crimes

During an operation focused on narcotics-related crimes over the weekend, Santa Monica Police made six arrests and issued three citations. The announcement was made via SMPD’s Facebook page.

The operation occurred on Thursday, May 9, near 3rd and Arizona where a Mobile Command Post was stationed. According to the Facebook post, Public Services Officers also “addressed concerns in nearby parking structures,” which led to 65 other citations for vehicle and municipal code violations. 

“As residents and visitors, we all play a role in maintaining a safe and clean Downtown.” stated the SMPD social media post. “If you witness any suspicious or illegal activity, please report it promptly to the SMPD non-emergency line at (310) 458-8491 or if warranted, call 9-1-1.”
