The Oscar-Winning Actor Reduced His Asking Price to $19.99 Million for the Four-Bedroom Coastal Home
Actor and producer Leonardo DiCaprio is trimming the price of his oceanfront Malibu mansion by more than $3 million, just three months after putting it on the market, as reported by Realtor.com in an exclusive report. .
The Oscar-winning actor, 50, first listed the property in July for $23 million while also offering it for rent at $65,000 per month. With limited interest from buyers or renters, DiCaprio recently dropped the asking price to $19.99 million and lowered the monthly rent to $59,000, according to property records.

Situated along a prime stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway, the four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home sits on a secluded bluff overlooking one of Malibu’s most exclusive beaches. The listing describes the property as a “rare and special offering” with panoramic ocean views and direct access to a private cove.
DiCaprio purchased the home in July 2021 for $13.75 million through an LLC managed by his longtime business advisor. It’s unclear whether the actor ever lived there full-time; records show he first placed the property on the rental market in April before deciding to sell.

Spanning sleek, whitewashed interiors, the residence features hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and multiple patios and balconies that open to the Pacific, blending indoor and outdoor living. The primary suite commands sweeping ocean views and includes a fireplace, expansive walk-in closet, and a spa-style bathroom with a soaking tub and steam shower.
The property lies not far from another Malibu home once owned by DiCaprio. He purchased that residence in 1998 for $1.6 million and sold it in 2021 for $10.3 million, following years of alternating between renting and listing it for sale.
In 2010, the earlier home was offered for $20,000 a month, with the rate later fluctuating before DiCaprio attempted to sell it for $10.95 million in 2016.
The latest listing adds to the actor’s extensive real estate portfolio, which includes properties in Los Angeles, New York, and Palm Springs. Known for his environmental activism and luxury tastes, DiCaprio’s holdings reflect a balance of coastal modernism and Hollywood prestige.
