City Launches Holiday Donation Drive for Families Affected by ICE

Bass said the effort aims to provide support during the holiday season, emphasizing that “every Angeleno deserves to feel the hope”

Mayor Karen Bass has announced a citywide holiday donation drive seeking new toys, books, sports equipment, grocery gift cards and warm clothing for families impacted by federal immigration actions.

Donations of unwrapped items will be accepted through Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at six city facilities, including the main City Hall help desk at 200 N. Spring St., Van Nuys City Hall and the West Los Angeles Municipal Building.

Bass said the effort aims to provide support during the holiday season, emphasizing that “every Angeleno deserves to feel the hope, care and community” at this time of year.

The drive, running under the theme of a united Los Angeles, also accepts household basics, blankets, non-perishable food bundles and prepaid transit cards.
