Alison Saar to Speak on New Installation at Venice Art Gallery

Saar, whose work spans sculpture, installation and printmaking, has spent decades exploring a range of artistic processes, including collaborations with printmakers.

Artist Alison Saar is scheduled to speak at an upcoming public event at L.A. Louver, where she will discuss a current installation and participate in a listening session with attendees.

The event is set for April 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery on North Venice Boulevard. Organizers said no reservation is required.

Saar will discuss her installation, “Meet Me at the Crossroads: Ruby’s Soul Service Station,” which is currently on view at the gallery. The program will also include a listening component, followed by a casual gathering where attendees can stay and participate in games.

The gallery said parking will be available in a structure across the street.

The event comes as part of programming tied to her exhibition at L.A. Louver, which is currently open to visitors by appointment.
