The sprawling Malibu estate hits the market for the first time in nearly four decades.
Pop culture nostalgia dominates the cliffs of Point Dume as a massive coastal estate recognizable from prominent turn-of-the-century film and television productions hits the market with a $90 million asking price.
Dubbed Venezia Pacifica, the 1.16-acre blufftop property was the long-term residence of real estate developer Ken Harges and his wife, Lorelei Harges, according to property records. The couple purchased the coastal land for $1.7 million in 1988 and completed the nine-bedroom structure in the early 1990s.

Because construction occurred before the implementation of California’s current, highly restrictive coastal height limitations and building regulations, listing agent Chris Cortazzo of Compass notes that the property possesses a grand scale and interior volume that would be legally impossible to replicate today.
Living space inside the home encompasses approximately 17,700 square feet, which sits above an additional 9,500-square-foot subterranean garage. Soaring ceilings, grand entertaining rooms, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls define the interior layout, which was designed to frame unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and a nearby premium surf break.

Ownership of the property also includes a coveted Riviera III beach key, granting private gated access to one of the most exclusive stretches of coastline in Malibu.
Outside, the estate features 176 feet of direct bluff frontage along the ocean. Resort-style amenities fill the grounds, including a swimming pool and spa, multiple viewing terraces, and mature landscaping. At the cliff’s edge sits a distinct oceanfront pavilion lined with classical columns, serving as a primary outdoor entertaining space.

Over the years, the home’s recognizable architecture has been featured as a prominent filming location, notably serving as a set in the “Austin Powers” film franchise and the teen drama series “The O.C.”
