St. Monica-Brentwood Game Scheduled:

Negotiations for the first-ever football game between St. Monica and Brentwood have been completed. The teams will play a non-league game on the third weekend of next season on a Friday afternoon at Brentwood.

The Mirror reported in recent weeks that coaches Larry Muno and Patrick Brown were discussing a game on zero week, the one before all teams begin their season. It was decided that both would benefit from having a couple of other games before they met.

St. Monica won three games this season and ran a crowd-pleasing, wide open offense featuring all-league quarterback Matthew Partyka, a junior, and five receivers who ranked among the league leaders in receptions.

Brentwood was again a playoff team and will return several key players while trying to replace most of its offensive line.
