Two LA Councilmen Endorse Betsy Butler:

Los Angeles City Councilmembers Paul Koretz and Paul Krekorian have announced their endorsements of Assemblymember Betsy Butler in her re-election campaign to the new 50th Assembly District.

The new 50th Assembly District stretches from West Hollywood to Malibu and sweeps south through the Palisades to Santa Monica.

“Betsy is a strong voice for our communities,” said Koretz, whose Council district overlaps with many communities in the 50th Assembly District. “Betsy has done great work as an environmentalist and as a fighter for consumers. She has done a terrific job in the State Assembly, where I have also previously served. I know a great Assemblymember when I see one. Betsy has been a good friend for over a decade and in that time we have worked together to build equality and understanding, fairness and respect, strength and unity in California.”

“Butler is a proven leader in protecting California’s environment and advocating to enhance our state’s renewable energy portfolio,” added Krekorian. “I am proud to support her for re-election.”

“I am honored to have the support of Councilmembers Koretz and Krekorian,” said Butler. “I look forward to continuing to work with them in advocating for working families and environmental protection in Los Angeles.”
