Cops Arrest 48-Year-Old Man For Possessing Pipe In Public: APB: Talking Dirty.

On Saturday, March 31, at 7:43 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were patrolling the area of Lincoln and Pico Boulevards when they were flagged down by a number of different people who pointed them in the direction of a man whom they all alleged was behaving erratically and making lewd comments (could be any number of individuals guilty of that behavior in that particular location, some may claim?).

The officers found the person who was allegedly behaving in this way and investigated. They spoke to him about the lewd comments, and during a search of his person they discovered a very large glass smoking pipe.

The officers identified this pipe as the kind that is typically used for smoking not tobacco, but methamphetamine.

The officers arrested this erratically-behaving-lewd-commentator and he was taken off to jail and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a violation of probation.

The bail for this Los Angeles man, aged 48, was set at $10,000.

Editor’s Note: These reports are part of a regular police coverage series entitled “Alert Police Blotter” (APB), which injects some minor editorial into certain police activities in Santa Monica. Not all of the Mirror’s coverage of incidents involving police are portrayed in this manner. More serious crimes and police-related activities are regularly reported without editorial in the pages of the Santa Monica Mirror and its website, smmirror.com.
