The Mind Of The Woman.

On Wednesday, April 18, at 3:38 p.m., officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to a restaurant located in the 1300 block of Third Street Promenade in response to a disturbance report.

Apparently, a woman had entered the restaurant, walked over to a table at which a couple were enjoying a meal (possibly a first date?), grabbed a muffin off the couple’s plate and began to eat it.

This woman then went and seated herself at an empty booth and began to consume a meal that she had brought with her from another establishment.

At that time the manager had approached this woman and reminded her that she was not allowed to eat food, brought from outside, in his restaurant.

This reasonable news obviously caused some confusion in the mind of the woman because her reaction to it was to get up, walk over to another occupied table, pick up a diner’s piece of pizza, return to the booth, and begin to eat it.

The manager then asked her to leave. The suspect began to throw food at the manager, and refused to leave.

The officers, after hearing all this from the manager, approached this woman and asked her if she was willing to leave the restaurant. The woman’s reaction was to just continue eating the remains of the pizza.

This 49-year-old Inglewood resident was charged with trespass and taken to jail.

Her bail was set at $5,000.
