Santa Monica Police Arrest Two Men After Finding Ammunition: APB: A Gang Of Two.

On Thursday, June 28, at 2:30 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department’s Gang and Youth Intervention Unit went to a residence located in the 1500 block of 16th Street in relation to an ongoing investigation.

When the officers arrived they saw the individual they were after, but this suspect started to run away.

A second male suspect also began to run away, but this one ran down an alley straight into the arms of other awaiting officers.

The first individual was seen to run into an adjacent residence so the officers spoke with this suspect’s family members and discovered that the house that the suspect had escaped to also belonged to another family member.

The officers were given permission to enter the residence. When the officers opened the door of the adjacent residence property the suspect immediately coalesced with the officers wishes and surrendered. Both suspects were arrested and taken off to jail.

During a search of the residence the officers found some ammunition, this put them in violation due to previous criminal activity.

A 23-year-old man was charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition and resisting officers.

His bail was set at $35,000.

A second man, aged 22, was charged with resisting officers and also a warrant for reckless driving.

His bail was set at $50,000.
