The Santa Monica College Theatre Arts Department will present the Roald Dahl classic, “James and the Giant Peach,” July 20-29.
The play, adapted by David Wood, will be held in the Theatre Arts Studio Stage, 1900 Pico Blvd.
The play tells the story of the adventures of James as he crawls inside an enormous peach that has grown from a tree touched by magic. The tale of the resourceful orphan James and his new family of magically overgrown insects has delighted children and adults alike for decades.
Show times are Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are free when seated on a parent’s lap. A $1-per-ticket service charge is added. There is no late seating.
