Gundlach Thanks Santa Monica Police For Recovering More Than $10 Million Of Art:

Sept. 26 in connection to the stolen Santa Monica art works.

DoubleLine Capital of Los Angeles founder Jeffrey Gundlach has issued a public word of thanks to the Santa Monica Police Department following the arrest of two suspects on Wednesday in regards to a burglary at his Santa Monica residence.

More than $10 million in high-end art was stolen between Sept. 12-14 including artworks by Piet Mondrian and Jasper Johns.

“My gratitude goes out to Detective David Haro and the entire Santa Monica Police Department for their skillful, tireless and respectful attention to apprehending the criminals and recovering all of the artwork stolen,” the statement said. “This is a great day for the art world and all those who seek order and justice in our society. I would also like to thank the many well wishers who offered support and whose optimism over the last two weeks proved accurate.”
